Washington GreenHawks Owner Tom Doyle and Partner William Askinazi Continue Plans for MoCo Arena

arenaSince 2007, fellow attorneys and partners Tom Doyle (owner, Washington GreenHawks) and William Askinazi of D&A Sports and Entertainment Group have developed plans for a new, 7,000-10,000 seat arena at the Shady Grove metro station in Montgomery County! The arena, reportedly similar in size and capacity to the Patriot Center (above), would be able to host concerts, community functions such as high school graduations, and most importantly, minor league sporting events!

GreenHawks win OT Thriller, 134-127

altWashington, DC…The Washington GreenHawks (2-1) won a thrilling high scoring affair in overtime 134-127 Saturday evening over the Beltway Bombers (1-4).
 
The game was evenly matched and went back and forth in the first quarter, with Byron Mouton leading the way with 13 first quarter points which saw the GreenHawks take a 31-30 lead heading into the second quarter.
 

Baby Shaq Named ACPBL Player of the Week

potwRockville, MD…Washington GreenHawks guard Hugh “Baby Shaq” Jones was named ACPBL Player of the Week on Sunday.
 
Jones received Player of the Week honors as he scored a team-high 25 points while notching nine rebounds and four assists in the GreenHawks 111-106 victory over the Beltway Bombers.
 
"This is a great honor," said Jones. "It was a team effort and the GreenHawks won the award with me."
 

GreenHawks begin 2011 victorious, win 111-106

winRockville, MD…Hugh “Baby Shaq” Jones, Byron Mouton and the Washington GreenHawks opened up 2011 in winning fashion.

Jones hit for a season-high 25 points (21 coming in the second half) to go along with nine rebounds and four assists and Mouton filled up the stat sheet with 22 points, nine rebounds, four assists and five steals in the GreenHawk’s 111-106 victory on Saturday night against the Beltway Bombers.

Rockville, MD...The Washington GreenHawks announced today that individual game tickets and season ticket packages are now available for sale. Individual game tickets start as low as $4 and every seat is close to the action. The GreenHawks tip-off their 2010-11 nine-game home schedule at the Frank R. Williams Center (5,000 seating capacity) on Saturday, January 8th when they take on the Beltway Bombers at 7:00 p.m. After a one-game trip to Norfolk, the GreenHawks return home to play six straight games, all on Saturday evenings.
