GreenHawks and Green Hoops for Hope Team Up for Soles4Souls Drive

soles4soulsThis summer, the Washington GreenHawks and the Green Hoops for Hope Foundation are pleased to announce that they will be conducting a shoe drive with Soles4Souls, a Nashville-based company that collects millions of pairs of shoes and donates them to people in need in more than 127 countries throughout the world. Soles4Souls has appeared in thousands of news outlets and has delivered 17 million shoes since 2005.

Dunkin Supports American Cancer Society at Relay For Life

On Saturday, June 9, Dunkin the GreenHawks mascot went to Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland to visit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event. As Dunkin took pictures with kids in attendance, a tremendous amount of money was raised for an unbelievable cause. From a dunk tank to flash mob dance party, many laughs were shared and all felt rewarded to take part in such a special event.

Pat "The Roc" and Hi Rise Impress at Washington Grove Elementary Fair

On Saturday, June 9, Pat "The Roc" Robinson, Hi Rise, and Dunkin the mascot ventured out to Washington Grove Elementary School for the school's end of the year PA Fair. While Dunkin took pictures with many kids in attendance, Pat and Hi Rise impressed the crowd with their stunning handles and tricks on the blacktop. Parents and students alike "ooohed" and "aaahed" at the marvel of the GreenHawks players, and volunteers were excited to win prizes for their assistance.

Dunkin Helps Celebrate Louie the Baysox's B-Day!

On Saturday, June 16, Dunkin and many other mascots from the Washington, DC area came to help celebrate Louie the Baysox's birthday bash at the Bowie Baysox game! Dunkin helped greet hundreds of excited fans before the first pitch and all had a blast in the kid-oriented festivities that took place throughout the game. From a mascot Home Run Derby to mascots singing to Louie on the 1st base dugout, the crowd couldn't get enough and everyone went home happily despite a tough loss to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 4-3.

Homer's Birthday at Bethesda Big Train a Huge Success!

On Saturday, June 23, Dunkin the GreenHawks' mascot came to the Bethesda Big Train game to help celebrate Homer's birthday!  The event was so much fun for all in attendance (including CAL RIPKEN JR)!  Some of the mascots, including Dunkin, Blaze from Buffalo Wild Wings, and Topspin from the Washington Kastles took on Homer in an intense tug-of-war match after the 2nd inning, which brought endless laughter to the crowd.  Fans were excited when (unfortunately for us) Homer came out the winner!  Despite the loss in the tug-of-war, Dunkin did defeat Homer in a race around the bases later in the
